Florida Gators running back Jadan Baugh seemed like he was going to be a Heisman candidate through the first few games of the season.

The junior ran for 100+ yards in each of his first four games, but then was held to just 13 yards on 12 carries against No. 25 Missouri.

That 45-17 loss nearly derailed everything for Florida, especially since it was followed up with an even more brutal 38-19 home loss to South Carolina, where Baugh had just 59 yards.

Against the No. 7 Texas Longhorns, Baugh finished with 19 more rushing yards than he had against the Tigers and Gamecocks combined.

Now, the Atlanta, GA, native is as well-rested as he'll be all week long, and he has a chance to guide this Gators offense to a definitive win against the No. 3-ranked team in the country.

Georgia's run defense is among the best in the nation

The Georgia Bulldogs have allowed the nation's ninth-fewest rushing yards this season (640).

When focusing on the SEC, no team has allowed fewer rushing yards, though LSU's 2.7 yards per attempt against is just a tick under the Bulldogs' 2.8.

Teams have only run the ball 225 times against Georgia, which is second in the conference behind the Gators.

Shockingly, teams have run the ball only 223 times against Florida, so they have a slight edge against Georgia in that department.

Regardless, this Bulldogs defense is legit. The starting quarterback issue for Florida is going to be amplified if they aren't able to run the ball.

No matter how this Gators offensive line tries, there's always going to be someone causing havoc for the Bulldogs.

Georgia has always prided itself on its defense, and that's no exception this season. The Bulldogs are coming off a rare loss, and it's one where they allowed 192 rushing yards.

For reference, UGA only allowed 161 rushing yards against then-ranked No. 6 Alabama. The week prior, they held Vanderbilt to 85 rushing yards, and it's crazy to think they only allowed 82 combined against Oklahoma and Arkansas.

One could argue that the Tigers' game was an outlier, but Florida desperately needs to get Baugh going like how Auburn had Byrum Brown take over on Saturday, Oct. 17.

Brown finished with 26 carries for 115 yards, and if that wasn't enough by itself, Jeremiah Cobb added 13 carries for 61 yards.

Auburn finished with more rushing yards (192) than passing yards (174) against Georgia, and that's a winning model the Gators desperately need to replicate in Week 9.
