Several SEC showdowns with College Football Playoff ramifications highlighted the conference's Week 10 schedule.
Saturday's slate began with Arch Manning finally picking up an SEC road win in No. 11 Texas' 34-20 win over No. 19 Missouri. Playing without Cam Coleman and Hollywood Smothers, Manning completed all but 10 of his passes for nearly 300 yards and threw three touchdown passes in the victory.
Then, in Baton Rouge, Keelon Russell led No. 9 Alabama to a 31-13 victory over No. 15 LSU, accounting for three second-half touchdowns as the Crimson Tide pulled away. The win gives Alabama its second victory over a top-15 opponent this season and strengthens its College Football Playoff résumé. Meanwhile, the loss drops LSU to three defeats, leaving Lane Kiffin's team with a much narrower path to the CFP, though its hopes are not yet extinguished.

In Oxford, No. 2 Georgia and Gunner Stockton took down No. 12 Mississippi and Trinidad Chambliss, 42-7. The loss for the Rebels, like their former coach's new squad, drops them to a three-loss team going into the final weeks of the regular season. Stockton completed 9 of 15 for 186 yards and four touchdowns.
Elsewhere, Tennessee took down Kentucky on Rocky Top, 34-6, and South Carolina, led by an injured LaNorris Sellers, came from behind to avoid an upset at home to Texas A&M, 17-9. Sellers, who got banged up multiple times in the Gamecocks' 17-9 victory, scored late in the fourth quarter.
