The rivalry once known as the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party has a different feel as the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs (6-1) square off with the 17th-ranked Florida Gators (5-2) at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Saturday, the first time the game won’t be played in Jacksonville since 1932.

Georgia returns to the field for the first time since it was upset at home as the No. 1 team in the polls by Auburn on Oct. 17. The Bulldogs blew an early 14-0 lead in the 27-24 loss as the Tigers got a field goal on the final play of the game to take the victory. Gunner Stockton finished 22-of-34 for 272 yards and two touchdowns but also threw two interceptions while Dwight Phillips Jr. led the ground attack with 68 yards and a score on 10 carries. Lawson Luckie and London Humphreys caught TD passes.
Florida comes off a bye week as well after coming back from 14 points down for a 27-24 victory at then-No. 7 Texas on Oct. 17. Patrick Durkin’s 28-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter gave the Gators their first lead at 20-17 and Jadan Baugh made it a 10-point game with an 11-yard touchdown run with 6:22 remaining. Baugh slugged out 91 yards on 25 carries while Tramell Jones Jr. hit 22-of-35 passes for 155 yards and two scores in his first career start. Lakota Dippre caught both of Jones’ TD tosses.
Depending on whom one asks, the Bulldogs either lead the rivalry 57-44-2 or 58-44-2, as Georgia counts a 1904 victory over the University of Florida at Lake City that Florida does not. Either way, the Bulldogs have won the last five meetings, including a 24-20 victory last season.
Stockton comes into the game for Georgia with 1,570 passing yards and 16 touchdowns with four interceptions while Phillips enters with 348 rushing yards and Chauncey Bowens has six scores on the ground. Craig Dandridge leads the receivers with 19 catches for 310 yards while Humphreys and Talyn Taylor have three TD grabs apiece. Florida’s Aaron Philo missed the Texas game with a shoulder injury and has 1,341 yards and nine touchdowns against three picks. Baugh comes in with 763 rushing yards and 13 scores and Dallas Wilson enters with 29 receptions for 403 yards and three TDs.
This is a great college football matchup that you will not want to miss; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
