Week 4 was great for Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and Texas edge rusher Colin Simmons.
Smith lit up Illinois on Saturday, finishing with 12 receptions for 217 yards and four touchdowns. He was unguardable in that game and has been ridiculous to start the 2026 college football season, compiling 33 receptions for 617 yards and seven touchdowns.

He’s arguably the best wideout in the country and is a top pick to win the Heisman Trophy this season.
Simmons was a big reason why Texas beat Tennessee in Knoxville on Saturday. Yes, he was given an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for a “peeing” celebration, but he still finished with nine total tackles, 5.5 sacks, and a forced fumble.
Because of these performances, Smith and Simmons were named the Walter Camp National Players of the Week.

Smith and Ohio State have a major Big Ten test on tap for this Saturday when the program travels to Iowa City to play Iowa. College GameDay will also be there to preview the game.
It promises to be a great game, especially after Iowa beat Michigan on the final play last Saturday.
Meanwhile, Simmons and Texas will play Oklahoma in the “Red River Rivalry” game on Oct. 10.
