It has been a wild ride for the Kentucky football team through the first eight weeks of the 2026 season. Last week, they beat Vanderbilt to get to 7-1 on the year, and with four games to go, they are in playoff contention. They were also in the top ten last week. Where do they fall in this week's US LBM Coaches Poll?
This week, they had a bye week, and were able to sit and watch everyone else while they rest up and work to get healthy. They also gained another spot in the coaches poll, jumping up to No. 7 after Ohio State lost and fell below them.
Around the rest of the SEC, the Georgia Bulldogs remain the highest-ranked team at No. 2. The Alabama Crimson Tide are also in the top ten, at No. 9. In total, eight SEC teams are in the top 25, and two more received votes.
Kentucky's week ten opponent, the Tennessee Volunteers, are ranked 16th this week, setting up a titanic clash with major postseason implications. They game will kick off at 6:15 P.M. EST, and will be the biggest game of the year to this point for the Wildcats.
