Auburn football's final October test comes this Saturday, when it battles the Ole Miss Rebels in Vaught-Hemmingway Stadium.

Ole Miss dropped a road game over the weekend to Texas, but remains highly ranked in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll ahead of their Week 9 tilt with Auburn. This week, Ole Miss slid to No. 12 in the latest coaches poll, down five spots from No. 7. Texas moved up seven spots to No. 11 after beating the Rebels and snapping a two-game losing streak.

Saturday will be Auburn's fourth-straight game against a ranked opponent. Auburn opened October with road trips to No. 17 Tennessee and No. 3 Georgia, going 1-1. The Tigers then returned to Jordan-Hare Stadium in Week 8 to lose to No. 13 LSU, and will close October at No. 12 Ole Miss.

After Saturday's game in Oxford, Auburn will not play a ranked opponent again until the final weekend in November, when it travels to Tuscaloosa to face archrival No. 10 Alabama in the Iron Bowl.
