The list also highlights steady leaders who keep their offenses running smoothly every week. At the same time, Notre Dame’s CJ Carr stands out for his accurate deep passes and calm leadership, tallying 1,639 passing yards and 16 touchdowns against just 1 interception.

The rankings feature breakout stars like Tulane’s Darian Mensah with a top-tier passer rating over 200 and Texas A&M’s Marcel Reed earn their spots by making big plays late in close games.

Injury haunted quarterbacks

Several top college football quarterbacks are currently dealing with major injuries this season. Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin is out indefinitely with a shoulder and throwing arm injury suffered in a win against Indiana. Head coach Ryan Day confirmed the team is planning to play without him for the rest of the regular season and potentially the postseason.

Oregon quarterback Dante Moore is expected to miss the remainder of the season while recovering from a concussion sustained against USC. Although Moore has returned to practice, head coach Dan Lanning stated he remains in protocol and will not play in games.

Mississippi State quarterback Kamario Taylor is also out for the rest of the year. He suffered a foot injury during a matchup with Oklahoma that requires season-ending surgery. Lastly, Illinois quarterback Katin Houser faces an extended absence after breaking his hand against Purdue, leaving backup Michael Clayton II to step in as the starter.
