The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party will move indoors for Saturday's meeting! With stadium renovations going on in Jacksonville at EverBank Stadium, the rivalry between #3 Georgia (6-1) and #17 Florida (5-2) will take place in Atlanta at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Both teams are coming off a bye week, and Florida is trying to snap its struggle against Georgia as the Bulldogs are 8-1 in the past nine matchups.
Georgia is coming off a 27-24 loss to Auburn as the #1 team in the country. The loss certainly gives the Bulldogs extra motivation here, plus an eagerness to play in front of a crowd in Georgia rather than Florida. Gunner Stockton turned the ball over three times versus Auburn, including a fumble that led to the Tigers' game-winning field goal. Stockton's response will be a point of interest, as will how this Georgia defense handles Florida's Trammell Jones Jr. in his second career start.
Florida is putting a lot on Jones' plate. The Gators outgained the Longhorns 313-278, won the turnover battle 1-0, and dominated time of possession 38:11-21:49. It's going to be difficult to repeat that success against Georgia, but the bye week should surely help the early game script and offset the jitters. Jones' first 20-22 minutes at Texas were not going well. After a bad decision by Steve Sarkisian, Florida's offense got some life on the final drive of the first half and it continued into the second half. Florida's 27-24 upset win over Texas puts the Gators back into the college football playoff conversation, and a win over Georgia would all but solidify their chances.
Let’s dive into the schools on both sides of the ball, look at a few key players, and see where the numbers take us.

#3 Georgia Bulldogs
Head Coach: Kirby Smart
2026 Record: 6-1 (4-1)
Offensive Points Per Game: 43.0 (3rd)
Defensive Points Per Game: 15.8 (16th)
2026 Strength of Schedule: 33rd
2026 Remaining Strength of Schedule: 26th
The Georgia Bulldogs Offense:
Georgia has scored 20 and 24 points over the last two games despite putting up 440 and 455 yards of offense. The Bulldogs probably feel like they are due for an offensive outburst. It wasn't for the four total turnovers; the Bulldogs would have scored 30 in every game. Nate Frazier came from injury back against Auburn but only had 19 yards on nine carries. His committee mate, Chauncey Bowers, is questionable, so the Georgia run game may get a boost, which Gunner Stockton could use following a season-high 34 pass attempts and two interceptions.
Georgia Player to Watch on Offense: QB Gunner Stockton
Gunner Stockton's three turnovers at Auburn was a season-high, so playing safe while taking chances will likely be the quarterbacks game plan. Three of his four interceptions on the year have come in the past two games and he's only gone over 30 rushing yards once this year. Stockton had 223 passing yards and two touchdowns versus Florida last season, plus 13 carries for 11 yards. He may have to use his legs more this week, and that could be part of the plan if running back Chauncey Bowers is out.
The Georgia Bulldogs Defense:
The Bulldogs' defense forced one turnover, grabbed five sacks, and six TFL last week against Auburn. Georgia's pass defense was superb. They held Auburn to 174 pass yards and 6.2 yards per pass, but the Bulldogs' problem was that they gave up points in every quarter for the first time all season. Last year, Georgia gave up 10 first-quarter points to Florida and allowed the Gators to score in three out of four quarters. I expect Georgia's defense to look night and day from the start compared to last year.
Georgia Player to Watch on Defense: LB Raylen Wilson
Raylen Wilson is coming off his second double-digit tackling performance of the season and his third with a sack. Wilson leads the team in tackles (43) and sacks (4). He finished third in tackles last year (74) and sacks (2.5). Wilson had eight tackles and a 0.5 TFL last season against Florida and seven tackles in 2024. I'd expect another 7-10 tackle performance from the senior linebacker.

Florida Gators
Head Coach: Jon Sumerall
2026 Record: 5-2 (3-2)
Offensive Points Per Game: 39.6 (9th)
Defensive Points Per Game: 28.2 (106th)
2026 Strength of Schedule: 9th
2026 Remaining Strength of Schedule: 16th
The Florida Gators Offense:
Florida scored 17 second-half points to rally against Texas. The Gators outgained the Longhorns 319-273 in yards, in first downs (21-13), and converted 8-of-19 third downs. Florida had an impressive showing against one of the best defenses in the country, and the most impressive part has to be either the zero turnovers or the one sack taken. Florida will have to be even better to beat Georgia, and once again, sacks and turnovers will be the loudest factors in this season's rivalry.
Florida Player to Watch on Offense: QB Tramell Jones Jr.
To everyone's surprise, Trammel Jones was thrown straight into the fire for his first start. Jones threw 35 times against Texas and upset the Longhorns. He completed 22 passes for 155 yards (4.4 yards per pass) and two touchdowns. He did a great job evading pressure, got the ball out early, and ran 10 times for 41 yards. Florida's ceiling looks higher with Jones rather than Aaron Philo. However, if Jadan Baugh isn't making an impact in the run game, we still don't have proof that Jones is capable of carrying the offense. We may find out this weekend and I'd expect his yards per pass to increase.
The Florida Gators Defense:
After allowing 45 and 38 points to Missouri and South Carolina in losses, Florida's defense locked in against Texas. In the second half alone, Florida only allowed seven points forcing two punts, a turnover on downs, a fumble, and one touchdown. The Gators had five sacks and 11 TFL in the inspired effort. Keeping them momentum going into and out of a bye week and against Georgia will be a challenge.
Florida Player to Watch on Defense: LB Myles Graham
Myles Graham has back-to-back games with a sack and at least seven tackles versus Texas and South Carolina. Graham leads the Gators with 48 tackles and second with 3.5 sacks. He forced a fumble on his sack of Arch Manning and recovered it last week as well. Graham had eight tackles and a pass deflection last year versus Georgia and three tackles and one sack in 2024 against the Bulldogs.

Rotoworld Best Bets
Vaughn Dalzell (@VmoneySports) likes Georgia to cover the first half -6.5:
"Florida was basically handed a first half cover against Texas in their last game and I don't expect Jones to come out slinging on the Bulldogs defense. Georgia averages 23.8 first half points per game (3rd) and that's after scoring season-lows of 10 and 14 points in their last two. I think the location change favors Georgia and I trust Georgia coming off a loss against an inexperienced quarterback. I'll take Georgia to cover the first half -6.5 out to -7."
