Kentucky Wildcats News: UK vs. Manhattan and CFP Rankings Reactions

Good morning, BBN!

What a night for Big Blue Nation: Kentucky Football secured its highest College Football Playoff ranking ever at No. 6, and Kentucky Basketball looked dominant against the Manhattan Jaspers.

For Kentucky Football, this is arguably the biggest moment in program history, and it’s fair to say they should’ve been higher based on their SOS.

That said, Stein and the team can’t get too high off this ranking because it won’t matter if they can’t bring a win over Tennessee back to Lexington this Saturday.

For Kentucky Basketball, after all of the offseason chatter, it was good to see them come out and make a statement. It didn’t start the way anyone wanted, but once the jitters ran out, they were in complete control.

Yes, it’s Manhattan, but it’s encouraging to see the team take care of business like this after all of the question marks heading into this season.

The vibes are great in Lexington; let’s see if they can keep it up after this weekend.

Tweet of the Day:

24 PTS on 8/12 FG (6/9 3-PT) and 5 REB for Milan’s debut… big time.
