Country music singer Luke Bryan is known not only for being an award-winning artist, but also for being a big Georgia Bulldogs fan. Pretty soon, Bryan will have a new favorite player on Georgia's team.
His son, three-star quarterback recruit Bo Bryan committed to the Dawgs on Oct. 26. Bo Bryan plays high school football for Battleground Academy in Franklin, Tennessee. He's the No. 143 quarterback in the nation and the No. 69 prospect in Tennessee in the class of 2027. Unfortunately, Bryan is out for the remainder of his season season due to a collarbone injury.
Former Georgia defensive end and On3 college football analyst David Pollack interviewed Luke Bryan after his son committed to Georgia. Pollack interviewed Bryan on his podcast, "See Ball Get Ball." Pollack is going through a similar experience this year with his son committing to an ACC powerhouse.
"I made it in country music somehow," Bryan said. "And my dad walked up to me and said 'son, I'm proud of you' and the fact that I can walk up to Bo and go 'son, I'm proud of you for doing something that you set your sights on and you earned it and you worked.'
"Pretty amazing to be able to do that to your 18-year-old and to watch his determination and his mental focus through all this. It has just been an amazing process.
"A couple of weeks ago, like I said, he broke his collarbone, but then to go where he gets off the phone with (Georgia offensive coordinator Mike) Bobo and to watch his smile. Our whole family, me, my wife, Tate, my nephew Til, when it all happened, we're just kind of staring at each other like 'did that just happen?'
"So it's been really amazing and yeah, I will gladly answer to the title of 'Bo Bryan's dad' forever."
Bo Bryan is not Georgia's only quarterback commitment in the 2027 cycle. The Bulldogs also have a verbal pledge from four-star quarterback Colton Nussmeier.
