The Florida State Seminoles running back room took another hit this week with Tre Wisner being listed as questionable for playing time against Boston College.

Wisner and Amari Thomas are the only ball carriers left on the roster with any game experience this season.

Ousmane Kromah and Samuel Singleton Jr. are both lost for the season due to injury.

It appears that Thomas will be the main ball carrier Saturday against the Eagles. Thomas has seen action in only five games and gained 12 yards and no touchdowns.

Wisner has rushed for only 247 yards through eight games. However, Wisner has not found the end zone yet this season.

A transfer from Texas, Wisner was a 1,000-yard rusher in 2024 for a Longhorns team that finished 13-3 and made it to the College Football Playoff semifinals.

As a team, Florida State has rushed for 1,326 yards and 18 touchdowns. Quarterback Ashton Daniels has rushed for 12 touchdowns, which leads the team.

Takeaway Daniels 12 scores on the ground, and the Seminoles true running backs have rushed for just six rushing touchdowns.

The Seminoles could be a one-dimensional offense against the Eagles. It depends on how creative interim coach Rick Stockstill and offensive coordinator Tim Harris Jr. can be.

Here is the initial injury report for Florida State, as reported by Kolby Crawford of Noles 247. It shows 12 players are definitely a no-go for Saturday:

The number of walking wounded for Florida State is shocking. Someone needs to squash that injury bug and fast.

Florida State owns a 15-6 record in the series with Boston College. The Seminoles have won 12 of the last 14 meetings, including the last three on the Eagles home field.

The Seminoles have had a rough week. Head coach Mike Norvell was fired Sunday, replaced by Stockstill. Offensive coordinator Tim Harris will take over the play calling duties.

Defensive coordinator Tony White was also fired, replace by linebackers coach Ernie Sims.

Safeties coach Evan Cooper’s employment was also terminated. Now, Duce Robinson will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL.

Florida State has lost three consecutive games. The only thing that will take the sting out of what has been a terrible week for the Seminoles is a victory against Boston College.
