The 2026 season has been so full of upsets and teams falling from grace that the marquee matchups have not always been the ones we expected. Week 10 is a great example, absolutely packed with big games with major CFP implications, many of which feature teams who were barely on the fringes of that conversation at the start of the year. You can discuss it all in this thread.
Friday Evening – Ok, so the weekend doesn’t start so hot, but if you’re looking for games to watch on Friday night, it’s not a total desert. Virginia Tech and SMU are both 6-2 and in the mix in the ACC. Nebraska will try to bounce back from their shocking home loss to UW during a trip to Illinois. Arizona is the only ranked team playing on Friday night; they host 4-4 TCU.
Saturday Early – #9 BYU will play #3 Utah in the game of the week and one of the most impactful Holy Wars of the last couple of centuries. The early window also includes #7 Texas heading to #18 Missouri, trying to keep their postseason hopes alive. #8 UCLA will try to remain undefeated during a trip to Minnesota.
Saturday Midday – Ohio St hosting Oregon looked like one of the games of the year in the preseason, but with five combined losses, it doesn’t have the same luster. Even so, both teams are ranked and Ohio St has to win for either team to have postseason hopes. #17 Houston has exceeded expectations and will face a tough test against 5-3 Cincinnati. Neither Alabama nor LSU has been quite as good as advertised, though the gap is not close to the Oregon underachievement. One of them will take their third loss away from their matchup in Death Valley.
Saturday Evening – The hits just keep on coming. Another surprise CFP contender, 7-1 Kentucky, has a tough road test against #13 Tennessee. Georgia is the rare contender who has met expectations and they will try to keep it up on the road against #10 Mississippi. If that’s not enough, #1 and undefeated Miami faces its toughest on the road against Notre Dame. Even the after dark game is worth watching- 7-1 Texas Tech hosts 5-3 West Virginia.
It’s a great weekend for college football, so kick up your feet and join the discussion below.
