Last week was carnage in the Big 12. The league had three teams in the US LBM Coaches Poll top 10. Now, only one remains (Utah).

BYU and Texas Tech each lost to an unranked team on the road, the Cougars to UCF in double overtime and the Red Raiders to Cincinnati.

The Bearcats get another shot at a top-5 team with the Utes paying a visit to Nippert Stadium today.

In West Texas, No. 21 Arizona and No. 14 Texas Tech meet in the lone ranked matchup in the conference this week. A win for the Wildcats will vault them into the Big 12 championship mix and possible College Football Playoff discussion. A loss for Texas Tech likely ends the Red Raiders' CFP hopes before November, which would be a massive disappointment for the conference's most well-funded roster.
