Middle Tennessee Christian's Trey Youell hauled in a 99-yard touchdown pass from Marlo Nichols during the third quarter of MTCS's game against Providence Christian Academy on Oct. 29.

The pass gave the Cougars a 7-3 lead and tied a single-game regular season TSSAA state record for longest touchdown pass and reception, joining 10 other quarterback-to-wide receiver combos in state history.

The last 99-yard touchdown pass-reception came from Wilson Central quarterback Aaron Hubble to Garrett Todd during a game against La Vergne in October of 2017.
